The volunteers who patrol our beaches ensure that residents and visitors to the South Coast can bathe safely in the surf.

Hosting and participating in national surf sport competitions is a crucial part of the South Coast Branch's work. These events are not only great fun but also provide the perfect opportunity to hone our skills and honour our surf club athletes. In January 2024, the Oakberry Acai NSW Country Championships were held at Warilla Barrack Point SLSC.

Our Work

Our work involves much more than ensuring the safety of our beaches. At South Coast Branch, we are dedicated to fostering a community committed to ocean safety, education, and camaraderie. There are countless ways for volunteers to join us in making a difference. Discover how you can contribute to our mission of safeguarding lives and building a stronger, safer South Coast community.

About us

The Surf Lifesaving South Coast Inc. is an affiliated Branch of Surf Lifesaving Australia (NSW). Our Branch is made up of 9 Surf Clubs, has over 2000 members and is one of 11 Branches in the State of NSW. We patrol beaches from Warilla-Barrack Point SLSC in the north all the way to the Mollymook SLSC in the south.

In line with our parent body, Surf Lifesaving NSW, it is the aim of Surf Lifesaving South Coast Inc. to supply services that minimise danger and prevent loss of life or injury to users in a beach and aquatic environment within our area.

The role of the Branch is to supervise the operations of the 9 individual clubs within the South Coast Branch and to represent their interests at a Surf Life Saving NSW and Surf Life Saving Australia level.

Our Sponsors

A huge thanks to our sponsors, without whose support the South Coast Branch would not be what it is today. Their contributions -whether financial aid, professional services, goods, equipment, logistics, or promotions- are vital to our ability to assist surf life saving clubs in our area. We are deeply grateful and encourage all clubs and their members to support these organisations whenever possible.
